BK Horror Society: Candle Making & Movie Night- The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: 10/23
Join Brooklyn Horror Society & Mise en Scent for a night of candle-making, cult horror, and a screening of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)About this experience
Join Brooklyn Horror Society and Mise en Scènt for an immersive candle-making experience inspired by a horror classic — The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974).
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll craft your own custom candle while learning how to blend fragrances that capture the grit, heat, and tension of iconic horror cinema. Think leather, gasoline, and the faint sweetness of something sinister simmering in the Texas sun.
After creating your candle, stick around for a special screening of Tobe Hooper’s landmark slasher — a fever-dream of fear, family, and survival that redefined horror forever.
Led by Greer, founder of Mise en Scènt, and our expert candle makers, this workshop is perfect for horror lovers, film obsessives, and anyone brave enough to bring a little Chainsaw energy home.

2 hours
We provide all the materials, techniques, and guidance you need to create your perfect horror-inspired candle—along with a spooky soundtrack, a large screen, and refreshments (yes, popcorn and bites included!).
